Program

Discovery Land activities and curriculum are designed to encourage imagination, creativity, and developmentally-appropriate learning for each age group:

Nursery

This program fosters creativity, and physical and cognitive skills. Children are introduced to shapes, colors, arts and crafts, and music. Free play and story time.

Preschool

Our preschool curriculum is based upon the principles of the Early Childhood Development.
The program offers a play-based approach to learning, encouraging children to engage all five senses in their interactions with the world around them. Socialization is an important part of preschool learning, and our program encourages positive interactions between children and play activities that help each child develop a firm sense of self. To build a broad foundation for your child’s success as a student, we will be focusing upon these essential early childhood skills:

Our reading activities introduce the wonderful world of colors, shapes, numbers, and letters. We will be singing, painting, coloring, and playing. We’ll celebrate all holiday seasons with your children. For example, we’ll be observing the wonders of nature and anticipating the thrill of Halloween. During Thanksgiving we will be discussing the “first Thanksgiving” and the many ways Indians helped the pilgrims survive in America.

Outdoors

A tree-sheltered and enclosed backyard provides a safe place for play and to enjoy being outside without compromising safety. The outdoor toys and a play structure enable children to develop their motor and social skills while climbing, sliding, taking turns and sharing toys, and having lots of fun together.
